LBInet Chat Service: Private Chat

Only Registered Users can participage in a Private Chat.

Only one member of a party may start a Private Chat. Click the button marked "CREATE PRIVATE CHAT ROOM". When your chatroom has been created, you will be able to select the guests you wish to invite to your room.

If you have been invited into a private chat room, click on the "JOIN PRIVATE CHAT ROOM" Button. You'll be asked to enter your username and password to confirm your identity.
Private Chat
Registered users are able to open a private chat area and invite other registered users to join in the private conversation. Because the program will use the username to check who is permitted into the private chat room, only registered users will be given access. Although this may be inconvenient, it will guarantee that your private area is indeed protected from uninvited guests.

Private Chat Rooms are indeed private. No one who was not invited can enter a private room. It is very, very, very unlikely that someone could even view your private conversation, as the rooms are created in such a way as to make finding them almost impossible.

Before a private chat room can be created, you need to decide on a name for the room, and who will be involved in the private conversation. At this time, a total of 4 users can use a private chat room. Choose one person to be the host. The host is the person who will actually create the room.

Here are the steps to creating a private chat room.

  1. Select Private Chat in the Menu.
  2. Click the Create Private Chat Room Button.
  3. Enter the name of the chat room.
  4. Enter your username and password.
  5. Click the button at the bottom of the form.

The host will now enter the newly created chat area. Depending on which browser you are using, the new room should have opened up in a new browser window. It is always best to agree on the details of the room before creating it, so that anyone will know the name of the room. If you have a 2nd browser window opened, you may now go back to the first window and tell the others in your party that the chat room is ready. IF THE HOST OF THE ROOM CLOSES HIS/HER BROWSER, THE PRIVATE ROOM WILL BE ERASED.

After giving the host a minute or two to create the room, the rest of the party may join the room.

  1. Select Private Chat from the menu.
  2. Click the Join Private Chat Room Button.
  3. Enter the room name, your username and password.
  4. Click the button at the bottom of the form.

You should now be in the newly created chat area.

NOTE: Private Chat Rooms are not censored in any way! There is no filter to blank out foul language, and the rooms are not monitored by the administrators of LBInet Chat. Please do not allow children into the private chat area if you are going to indulge in adult conversation. LBInet and its administrators are not responsible for anything that is said in any chat room, private or public.
